SAWU short for Stand Alone Worldweb Unit is a package containing a complete solar driven computer classroom connected through satellite with the World Wide. We believe that internet is an absolute necessity in the development of countries in general and young people in particular.
The unit can be installed in any type of school or other building. It will have 24/7 solar power from 10 solar panels, a battery pack (for evening/nights) and will be connected by a satellite dish. 15 laptops will give the users the entrance to the net.
Everybody knows how much information the net provides. But it also give the opportunity for networking, gaming and action.
We are now working on the SAWU to make it maintenance free. We are planning to ship the first set in 2016 to the remote village Kedzi Keya in Ghana, Africa.
